Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of DualApex — the app, the website, and the service that turns your driving laps into ghosts you can chase in a racing simulator. By using DualApex, you agree to them.

Using DualApex

• You sign in with Steam and choose a handle. You're responsible for activity under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use DualApex.
• Use the service for its intended purpose — recording, importing, comparing, and sharing your own lap data.

Your content

The lap data you upload or record stays yours. By submitting it, you grant DualApex the permission needed to store it and provide the service — generating your ghosts, showing your times, and, where you've made your profile or laps public, displaying them on leaderboards and shareable cards. You confirm that the lap data you submit is genuinely yours to share.

Fair use

• Don't upload data you didn't record or don't have the right to use.
• Don't submit falsified, manipulated, or deliberately misleading lap times.
• Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Don't use DualApex to break any law or infringe anyone's rights.

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules or abuse the service.

Price

DualApex is free to use at launch. If we introduce paid features in future, we'll make the terms clear before you're charged, and existing free functionality won't be silently taken away without notice.

Availability

We work to keep DualApex running well, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. It's an evolving product — features may change, and we may add, modify, or retire parts of the service.

Simulator and third parties

DualApex works alongside racing simulators such as Assetto Corsa and third-party services such as Steam. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for those products. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

No warranty

DualApex is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Lap generation, alignment, and timing are best-effort and depend on the quality of the data you provide and factors outside our control (GPS accuracy, track conditions, hardware). Don't rely on DualApex for anything safety-critical.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, DualApex and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Ending use

You can stop using DualApex and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access where these terms are breached or where required to protect the service or other users.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent Dutch courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections you're entitled to where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms as DualApex develops. We'll update this page and its date; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
